"In my early twenties, I sold all of my saxophones to a store in Jersey except for the horn my father gave me, a 1965 Selmer Mark VI. I packed my 2002 silver Saturn and drove west." Thus begins the story of Mr. Adam Turchin. Adam soon found work in the music store, chatting with an interesting client - Mr. Terrace Martin. And so it is, when the vibe is right everything falls into place. Studio work with Terrace, Kendrick Lamar, and The Game followed, and now Adam brings his solo project - MANIFEST DESTINY - to life. The record is set to hit on April 28, and the first track (with Terrace, Sput, and Rose Gold) is live now. Dig in right here to be a part of Manifest Destiny.

About adam turchin

Manifest Destiny album is a conceptual piece of art that crosses musical boundaries between Jazz, Hiphop & Orchestral to a place far beyond the typical musical spectrum.  Manifest Destiny album creates a captivating cinematic musical illusion showcasing full orchestral movements that grow into highly climatic avant guard modern jazz pieces.  The album uses feature artist to navigate in and out of various disciplines of ambient, neo soul, pop and hiphop style sounds while continuing the use instrumental movements and interludes around every corner that are often times woven in and out of the intro and outro’s of many songs.  Manifest Destiny album is full of easter eggs and secret passages with reoccurring musical themes, album plots, and an overall intertwining of melodies, proprietary synth sounds and orchestral movements to give an extremely cohesive start to finish listen sure to pull listeners in, with each listen revealing more music secrets and aural details!

Manifest Destiny album features a reoccurring all star cast of musicians including Terrace Martin, Robert “Sput” Searight , Rose Gold, Josef Leimberg, Brandon Ashe, Javier Starks, Kate Faust, JP Floyd & Marlon Williams, etc.  The core group of musicians that make up the Manifest Destiny orchestra are the same core musicians that have worked on many recent highly acclaimed west coast jazz movement pieces and groups such as; Kendrick Lamar “To Pimp A Butterfly”, Terrace Martin “Velvet Portraits” & Josef Leimberg “Astral Progression’s” & Snarky Puppy.

Manifest Destiny tells the story of Adam’s Manifest Destiny both in the literal and abstract approach. Manifest Destiny as in the ideal that every human has and deserves the right to explore the unknown, have hopes, dreams and desires in search of the best life possible!  Manifest Destiny also plays into the abstract approach of manifesting ones destiny and using the power of manifestation to allow supreme growth and level up with this album as a perfect example!

Manifest Destiny is a conceptual art project with 12 movements clocking in at 48 minutes.  Manifest Destiny is surrounded by a series of art collaborations that extend the albums concept.  The art includes a 100% original concept art for album art including the use of an original art sculpture by John Souter, a set of 11 separate Manifest Destiny paintings by Jackie Stanton & a motion graphic video by Sergio Sosa.

The Manifest Destiny cover art was designed to represent destiny within the confines of one simple picture within a square frame.  The art depicts a beautiful black fake silk flower growing out of a sculpture of turmoil and pain made by a proprietary mixture of matter.  The concept of destiny is eternal, destiny is a still life that keeps going forever.    A typical flower is a beautiful moment in time that we enjoy and experience then ultimately the flower dies and we move on.  The Manifest Destiny flower is a fake silk flower, this silk flower allows a perfect  representation of the still life and eternal nature of destiny while depicting and representing both growth and development.
