nat osborn band

Unique is the name of the game over here at Ropeadope, and here's another for your ears. Nat Osborn Band drops their new EP today, and it is clear this seven piece band from New York is doing some kind of quantum physics trick as they exist in several genres at the same time. At the helm(s) is bandleader and vocalist Nat Osborn of course, who starts off easy and then gets in deep.

About nat osborn band

Nat Osborn, “the mastermind behind the suitably named Nat Osborn Band, writes smart, punchy tunes that blend old-school Gershwin-era songcraft with decidedly modern sensibilities.” (Popdose)

The seven-piece band, flanked by a powerful three piece horn section, takes the best elements of soul, funk, indie-rock, and jazz and weaves them around Osborn’s truly infectious and clever songs.

The band released their debut album, The King and The Clown, in April 2013 to a sold out crowd at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. Following the release, the band toured tirelessly playing over 150 live shows between the United States and Europe. They have appeared at, and often headlined, festivals on both sides of the Atlantic and been on television in six countries, all while operating as a hard working independent act.

In mid-2014 the Nat Osborn Band hit the studio between tours to record a three song EP. The record is due out this Spring of 2015 on Ropeadope records.
