2019 Countdown | Chapter 3 | Duncan Eagles

Jazz musicians inevitably become ambassadors; they travel the world and see other cultures in a way that we cannot. The statement that ‘music is the universal language’ takes a very specific turn right here. With an open musical mind, Jazz musicians have learned the technical aspects of the musical language, and when they meet others who may not speak their language, they find common ground in their craft, and therefore open their field of understanding to include a multitude of cultures. Such is the case with Duncan Eagles, who grew up with little music in his family upbringing and became fascinated with pianos, banging on one wherever he could find one. His family followed his path and bought him a piano, leading him forward to a fulfilling human experience. And so, an individual follows his intuition and hidden path (with support) and finds himself a Citizen of the World.

Duncan’s path fuels a positive view of life on planet Earth, when you speak with Duncan and listen to his music you can feel that he places the muse above him, Jazz with a big J, and also the incredible positive energy that gives him purpose and joy.

Citizen by Duncan Eagles was released on February 15, 2019.
